Best Mining Pals in Palworld

What Mining level do you need?

Mining suitability gates how fast Stone Pits, Ore Mining Sites, and world ore nodes get cleared. Higher level is always better on the same workstation — one Mining 4 Pal usually beats a pack of Mining 1s for late ore.

Early game (Mining 1–2)

Start with whatever is near spawn, then replace as you push desert and volcano.

• Cattiva — Mining 1 + Handiwork/Transport; perfect first crew.
• Depresso — Mining 1 night worker if you need coverage while you sleep IRL.
• Digtoise — Mining 3 desert specialist; prioritize once you reach the dunes.

Mid–late game (Mining 3–4)

Anubis is the Mining 4 / Handiwork 4 king for bases. Astegon and Blazamut also mine hard in volcanic outposts. Breed Anubis once you have Incineram and a matching partner — or catch the Twilight Dunes alpha.

Base layout tip

Put Mining Sites next to chests and assign Transporting Pals (Vanwyrm, Helzephyr, Penking). Mining without transporters is how ore piles rot on the ground.
