How to Use the Shortest Breeding Path Tool

Plan a short Palworld 1.0 breeding chain from a Pal you already own — catchable partners allowed, same-species-only targets explained.

What the tool does

On /breeding → Shortest Path, pick a starter you own and a target species. TamePal searches the 1.0 breeding matrix for a short chain. Intermediate partners can be wild catches — you do not need a closed Paldeck of every parent.

How to read a result

Each step is Parent A + Parent B → Child. “Catch partner” means one parent is not in your owned starter set — grab it in the wild (or buy/trade), then breed. Prefer shorter chains and common partners when the tool offers multiple options.

Same-species-only targets

Jetragon, Frostallion, Bastigor, tower legendaries, and other PalCalc mixed-pair=0 pals cannot be invented from two different species. The tool returns no cross-species path — catch or raid the first one, then breed two together.

Example

Lamball → Sibelyx often resolves in a single step (Lamball + a catchable partner). Lamball → Anubis needs a short multi-step chain — use the tool instead of outdated EA charts.
